How to read the analysis

What is the overall score?

It combines several metrics — profitability, risk, stability and trading efficiency — into a single score from 0 to 10. 8.0 or above is S, 6.0 or above is A, and 4.0 or above is B.

What is max DD?

It is the largest percentage fall from a peak in account balance — a measure of how much risk the strategy carries.

Points to watch out for

Look beyond profit: also check drawdown, the number of trades and whether results are concentrated in certain periods.

FAQ

What can I learn from the backtest analysis?
Alongside key metrics such as net profit, profit factor, win rate and maximum drawdown, you can see the equity curve, monthly P/L, results by hour, the risk of ruin from a Monte Carlo run, and comparisons across several EAs. Get the big picture from the overall score first, then dig into whatever stands out.
Does it support both MT4 and MT5?
Yes. The tool automatically detects and parses both the MetaTrader 4 Strategy Tester Report and the MetaTrader 5 HTML report. It also handles UTF-16LE (MT5) and Shift_JIS (Japanese MT4) encodings, so just load the HTML file exactly as you saved it.
If the results look good, can I trust them as they are?
A backtest is a result against past market data and does not guarantee future performance. Reliability drops when there are few trades, when profit is concentrated in one period, or when drawdown is deep. Judge it together with forward testing and re-testing under different parameters.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Every file you load is processed inside your browser (in JavaScript). Nothing is uploaded to or stored on a server.
Can I compare several EAs at once?
Yes. Load several HTML files together and compare them with normalized equity curves, a radar chart and a correlation matrix.
Which export formats are supported?
Six formats: trade CSV, metrics CSV, monthly CSV, hourly CSV, JSON and PDF.
Does it work on a smartphone?
Yes. The layout switches to a single column to match the screen width, though fine-grained chart interaction is more comfortable on a PC.
Is it free? Are there any limits?
It is completely free, with no limit on the number of analyses or files. No account is required.
