What is a forward test?

A forward test runs an EA in real-time market conditions, unlike backtests that use historical data. It reflects actual spreads, slippage, and execution delays, showing true EA performance. Systre publishes forward test results for all EAs.

How do I read forward test results?

Each EA forward test page shows cumulative P&L charts, win rate, profit factor (PF), maximum drawdown, and trade count. An upward-trending P&L, PF above 1.0, and small drawdown generally indicate a strong EA.

How long is the test period?

Forward tests run continuously from when the EA is registered. Use period filters (3 months, 6 months, all-time) to adjust the view. EAs with 6+ months of data are generally more reliable.

Are forward tests reliable?

Forward tests on Systre run on accounts managed by the platform, not by EA providers, ensuring results cannot be manipulated. All trade data is automatically recorded and published in real-time for full transparency.

Are tests run on demo or real accounts?

Forward tests use demo accounts with real market rates, providing results comparable to real accounts except for execution differences. Real account data is published separately on the Real Account page.
